Reasons for hosting files in New Zealand

A friend of mine wanted me to share a resource on my website rather than on the University network. I replied “Well, if the file is hosted in the States, then in the event of the submarine cable being chewed through by the shark, you wouldn’t be able to access it from the comfort of your home.”

GERD and NERD

From a different perspective! (Below are readings that I have to do for Pharmacotherapy: A Pathophysiologic Approach)

NERD tends to be more common in women and in patients who are approximately a decade younger than patients who develop erosive disease

Hmmm, this is something new. According to the quote above, the nerd culture is more popular among the women than in men! I suppose times are changing…

Although mortality associated with GERD is rare, GERD symptoms may have a significant impact on quality of life

I’m guessing GERD is the female term for nerds. In that case, the nerd culture certainly may have an impact on the quality of life. Think of the less time that a woman spends with her partner as a result of the culture revolution.

(Less time spent = Less courting opportunity = Less reproductive success = No Offspring = Impact on the QoL, yup)

The prevalence of GERD varies depending on the geographic region, but appears highest in Western countries

Naturally – that’s where most technologies related to computers started

Anyways, GERD = Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, NERD = Non-erosive Reflux Disease :p

Partnership

While I was talking to a class rep from a Chemistry paper this afternoon, she said to me that she has found out who is the other class rep of the same paper (there are two class reps), but hasn’t found the opportunity to talk to him yet. I replied “You guys should integrate and work together – as long as no differentiation arises from that partnership!”

(Think of Calculus / Cell Division!)
